Homeowner's & 4th Anniversary.

We are Homeowner's!  Or at least we own a portion of a home along with the bank -- but none the less we are calling it ours and we LOVE it.

A sketch of OUR very first Home.

We have a long 'to-do' list and we know that a lot of what we want will get checked off over time.

Don't judge our plant/flower area - it is a total work in progress!

Seth and I have become almost obsessed with kayaking. We've been about four times in July/August and we absolutely love it. We are hoping to have two kayaks by the end of September.  So, mainly all I can offer you is the above photo of our new house (which has totally kept us busy) and some pictures of our kayaking trips.

One of our first trips out on the Lynches with the Bishop's & Richardson's.

We recently celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary.  We went out to dinner and had a kayaking date to celebrate. Due to Seth having a conference coming up (which we plan to use the trip as a little 4th anni - get away trip - along with him working) we didn't plan too much the day of.

Seth and I on our 4th anniversary - in our home - in front of my favorite part of the house.

After our anniversary we went on a kayaking trip with our friend's buddies.  It was a beautiful day and a LONG trip. Their goal was to basically not paddle at all.

The group - regular pose.

And we always have to have a silly one.

Our next kayaking trip was with a group of folks that a friend of ours put together.  We had about 20 in this group so having everyone round up for a photo didn't seem like the easiest idea.  It was a beautiful, hot, humid day.

All going at our own pace.

I like him just a bit.

It was a beautiful day.

 Gorgeous.

This fall I started the MBA program at FMU - I am taking 2 classes and already feeling the pressure of working FT, studying and schoolwork, making sure Seth and my home are maintained, staying in a small group at our church, keeping up with our social life, and squeezing in some family visits. Sadly good and healthy food has been hard to come by and eating out has gotten a tad higher on the list.  I still plan to go back to get a nursing degree after the MBA - I guess we will see where we are in life at that point but it's still on the books!

This makes me think back to my good ol Daddio - he worked full-time, helped Mom raise two youngins (who turned out pretty good if I must say so myself), and went to school in the evening for his BS. My Victra gave up a lot as well to help Dad achieve his college degree. I wish we were smarter as kids and realized all our parentals gave up and gave out to us.

That basically sums up our past month and a half. House, Kayaking, Anniversary, Kayaking, School :).
