Happy Anniversary Month to Seth and I. :). I'm sure you all wish you were close enough to knock me off my feet and tell me to shush it up. I am sure this whole deal will lose its exciting flavor as soon as the fifteenth rolls around and puts a year of marriage under our belts. August is an exciting and eventful month for us-I only wish I could hold on to each day and have it slowly trickle bye on MY time.
Seth and I-headed out to Provo/Orem last Saturday.
~ Happy Anniversary Month ~
My Cousin Cara and her husband Steve will be celebrating their tenth year together. Time flys when you have fun guys :).
Seth's parents will be celebrating their 31st anniversary (I am pretty sure) this month too. Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Cynthia-Hope ya'll have a great anniversary-Almost this time last year we were making a trek out West together :).
Seth's uncle Robert and his wife Jan were married on the Fifteenth, so we will always be celebrating our anniversaries on the same day :).
Of Course-As you already know-Seth and I will be celebrating our first year of marital bliss! I should wait and do all the gooey-icky-lovey-dovey stuff on our Anniversary when I blog, so I'll spare you all that today-but I will not spare you on it all when that special day arrives :). I will say that it has been a wonderful, adventurous, faith growing, intelligent becoming :), independent, and COLD year for us in Utah, but I wouldn't change it for ANYTHING. I love Seth, love where we are, love what we are doing, love our friends that we have made, our life that we have started on our own, and love figuring things out somewhat on our own (after calling both our parents to ask questions and some friends out here to ask questions!). Okay that is enough for now-I'll go into all the gooey stuff later in the month (either stay tuned for that or remember the date and don't read that blog if you don't like the icky stuff).
These are what I like to call 'my Mountains' On our way to the Koehler's.
Moving along to our past weekend. Seth and I went down to Provo/Orem with our Louisiana friends. Seth and Jonathan went golfing while Marilyn and I went shopping around town. Of course, Seth always has a great time when he is golfing and I enjoyed browsing around consignment shops and book stores. Marilyn took me to an organic grocery store that had a deli-fresh food restaurant in it. I got an avocado green wrap (or something like that) and it was DELICIOUS. I thought of Seth's sister Emily while there and knew she would love this place. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine and both ate all of our wrap/sandwich. Afterwards, we went tubing down the river. This was my first tubing experience, so I wasn't to sure what to expect. After getting our tubes prepared we pushed off the side-having our bums land in the tube's hole. I may have let out a loud yelp during this moment because the water instantly, let me repeat, instantly froze my bum to a point of numbness and I could no longer feel it. Seth and I joined up together and I was woman enough to let him lead-using his hands and arms as an oar in the water :). I elegantly sat in the tube while he steered our way down the river. After getting a little ahead of Jonathan and Marilyn, Seth pulled us to the side to wait on them to catch back up. A few minutes pass and we see Marilyn floating towards us. She tells us that Jonathan's tube got a whole in it and collapsed, so he had to get out. So, the three of us take on the river. I place myself between Marilyn and Seth and continue to be led down the river :). Seth and Marilyn are steering and I am only allowing my bum to touch the water. I'm kidding a little-every now and then I would help steer, but the water was freezing cold-and I could only keep my hand in for a few seconds.
While tubing peacefully down the water we would come upon some camping sites. All of a sudden we would see two or three kids run out with waterguns or spray guns. Instantly I knew their plans and actually began to try and talk the kids out of their devious idea. I told them we didn't want to be sprayed with water-don't do it-please-it's cold, but nothing worked. Those devilish kids soaked up the river water in their guns and sprayed us several times with the freezing water. I was highly irritated with them as well as their parents for sitting in chairs watching and laughing at this. Evil children-note to self-I will never let my children do this to others that are pleasantly floating down a cold river.
Anywho-it took us about an hour and a half to float the river. It was beautiful, relaxing, entertaining, and cold :). Unfortunately, we were all frozen over (and I still couldn't get over the kids shooting us with river water after I kindly asked them not too) and we didn't want to go down for a second time. Sorry, Jonathan :(. We thawed out-changed-and headed out for supper. We went to a Mexican Market-where they have a restaurant in it and ate another DELICIOUS meal. Knowing locals has many many perks-especially when it comes to good food! We ordered a combo meal that supposedly fed 6 and it fed the four of us with no problem. It was just plain scrumptious and Seth is already trying to plan another time to go back.
Yummmmmmmy
Sunday we headed out to church and picked up our friends that we do dinner dates with to join. We were glad they came with us-and of course we had dinner afterwards :). We had kabobs-with fresh squash and zucchini thanks to Jonathan and Marilyn-roasted potatoes, and Seth's french bread-which by the way was very very tasty. Nichole and Caleb made dessert-Orange Jubilee's, which was good as well-tasted like Orange Sherbet!
One of his best French breads yet.
How food is our JOY in life :). I know I've already said it-but one day Seth and I are going to be cows. We don't eat ALL the time-but when we do eat-it is GOOD.
Last night-we went out to a movie with some girls from my work and their guys. Upon coming out of the theater this is what we see.
So Beautiful-but this can't even come close to giving this sunset Justice.
Caleb and Nichole. Our dinner buddies.
Seth and I had a mini photo shoot yesterday-so I will share that and then be done with this long blog :).
My French Whisk that My Mommy got us-We both have been using it like it is going out of style!
Giving Seth a Kiss.
Me Getting a Smooch.
Happy Almost 1 Year Married Couple :).
It is okay-I can do this because it is my Anniversary Month. Annoying I know-but just think how fast time flys and this month will be over and you won't have to hear/read about it anymore!
Have a good week everyone!
